National level Workshop on “Development and implementation of institutional Child Safeguarding Policies as well as networking with local Child Protection Systems”
In 2012 and 2013, JKS conducted a national level workshop on Child Protection Policy in 2 phases, with the financial support of KKS-BMZ, Germany. The workshop was jointly organized and facilitated by JKS – KKID – KKS and KNH, Germany. The training was attended by total 58 participants from NGOs and donor agencies from all over the country. The training was facilitated by Mrs. Kritsana, Thailand, Mr. Ace Diloy, Philippines - Child Protection Master Trainers for Asia and Mr. Lichtenberg, Child Protection Officer of KNH, Germany, National Trainer, Dr. K.S. Malathi, KKID, India and Mrs. Girija, sitting member of Child Welfare Committee, Chennai. As part of the workshop, the team has developed a training manual in English on child protection policy. Considering the need and demand for such workshops, the training manual was translated from English to Telugu and Tamil.
JKS is also involved in conducting a series of three workshops dealing with the “Development and implementation of institutional Child Safeguarding Policies as well as networking with local Child Protection Systems” with Kindernothilfe (KNH) as lead organization, together with Karl Kübel Stiftung (KKS), ChildFund Germany and Terre des Homes (TdH) Germany and KKID- Coimbatore, from 2015-2017. The project is supported by BMZ, Germany. The workshops are conducted in 3 modules. The first module was conducted in 2015 and the second in 2016. The third module will be conducted in 2017. The workshop is attended by about 152 participants form different NGOs and donor agencies from all over the country.
